I've been mix'n FURNACEFACE now for close to eight years! We met on a ROOTS ROUNDUP tour in 1990, at a club in Saskatoon called Amigos. It was like the meeting of the party Titans. We had so much fun, they definitely rocked my world. I never thought I'd be on the dance floor wave'n my fist in the air to a Kiss tune!!! That was one crazy evening, we also got introduced to the Ninja Vixens. All of us have been friends ever since, well most of the time, except when T..... Oh, whoops I'm not supposed to mention that incident! I can't recall what the name of the tour was for ROOTS ROUNDUP, but the Furnaceface tour was called "Return of the Dragon tour '90" or "Who won the war between Punk and Disco?". They got a bunch of people from the club and would get them into a giant dragon costume. Which would enter the club to Chinese music, they would then jump out dressed up as Kung-fu fighters and brake boards and stuff, really badly, to the music of "Kung-fu fighting"!! It was a gas... They played a bunch of songs off of the soon to be "Just Buy It" album which made them huge rock stars in India. Half way through the show they whipped off the wigs and stuff, and underneath was '70's disco clothes. What pure genus! The version of "Shake Your Shaky Thang" was unbelievable. They strapped on hard hats with in door white flood lamps gaffed on to them. They were pretty low tech at this point, and used a ghetto blaster for the music with a mic by the speaker. At which point Dave the drummer came out, with the rest of the band (Pat & Tom), and jumped around yelling into the microphones. WOW, it changed my life let me tell you!!!!! I had sold my soul to Furnaceface industries for ever, and I'll be Damned for all eternity...
